Our annual media day is a beast of an event. It takes two full days to set up, direct/create/collect content, and take down. Each year, we push hard to execute our vision and make it bigger and better than the previous year. This year, I teamed up with our video lead to achieve a never-before-seen vision for the Panthers organization. The video aspect was meant to capture a pool, which was installed on the ice, for a one-of-a-kind cinematic feature for our players, team and fans. The backdrop consisted of a series of carefully curated custom patterns, featuring local environments and typographic animations. While emphasizing our primary red look, we built a unique, strong light source of red to highlight the players, in addition to an organic scene, which featured vegetation elements to symbolize "the hunt." The dark cinematic ambiance of the go between optics lighting source executed our vision as if we were walking into the den of the panther. Once we unveil the assets for the upcoming season, they'll be featured in-bowl, within various marketing initiatives and on all digital platforms. No matter what part of the puzzle you're looking at, the concept will ultimately draw you in, assuring you that the Florida Panthers team is ready for the season -- AKA: It's TIME TO HUNT.
