This 2021 NHL Draft was unique regarding both its setting and the content we developed. In addition to our team picks and all the excitement that goes along with the draft, every team within the league was responsible for making their appearance unique to the team and respective region. We curated an event around our coastal setting with creative implementation to reflect it.
For our NFT launch, we hosted an NFT lottery during the event, which was held on the water at the Fort Lauderdale Yacht club. The NFT’s design was colorful and bright with strong typographical placement and boat elements. We also had a docked 136’ yacht, which the winners and our VIP guests were able to experience as well. Attendees enjoyed wine from custom curated bottles while watching the sunset. It was a memorable experience not only for our guests, but for the organization.
The creative assets displayed during the draft – pre-, during and post-event – exposed the upcoming season’s new look. The creative featured an abstract composition that played with geometric figures, gold leaf layering, brushstroke typography and a sense of grit to the newly acquired Panthers team.
South Florida culture is fun, inviting and most importantly warm. The creative elements portrayed those aspects through design and strategy and overall matched the energy of the event.
In addition to being the first team in the league to launch an NFT library, the Panthers were also the first to create a brand around it.
FLA Drops has a pop art fashion tone with fun, animated elements to inspire and help the fan base grow into a new generation of creative material. The concept of “thinking big” with each and every one of these creations is paramount. It was most important, however, to tie customer experience tied into it as well.
You will see a few creative pieces developed that will tie into experiences during the season along with an exclusive NFT gallery experience on site.
As a creative leader, it's my goal to keep up with trends and creative ideas by continuing the exposure of our brand from all creative fronts. From its initial creative vision to execution, this was a one-of-a-kind project. The Panthers organization continues its presence within the space with a new launch planned monthly.
